Stress Reduction/Relaxation Workshops
Stress is the body's natural response to certain events that cause you to feel overwhelmed and unable to cope with the situation. Everyone feels it at different times and to varying degrees. For many people, everyday stress builds to a level that seems too hard to handle. Pressures mount as you try to meet the demands of family and work. Caring for children or elders deadlines at the office, mounting bills all become overwhelming. Attending a stress reduction training workshop can give you the tools you need to cope with the stress in your life. Ranging from one session to a series of sessions, workshops offer tips, techniques and training to reduce stress in our lives.
Workshops are offered in the following modalities for both individuals and groups:
Reiki- a modality that promotes balance and healing based on the idea that all living things have a special energy flowing through them called life energy. A treatment is a way of increasing an individual's life energy and is transmitted through the hands which are lightly placed on or near the body in various positions.
Kahi Loa - a Hawaiian system of bodywork that works on the skin instead of the muscles to promote the free and abundant flow of life energy in the recipient in order to reduces stress, enhance well-being and restore balance.
Meditation - a practice of deepening one's awareness by making the mind more clear and focused which often results in calmness and well-being.
